MOOC on Geospatial Technologies and Ethics

1–2 minutes

read

Back in May, I was involved in the Geoversity.io initiative, an online platform for lifelong learning developed by the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente.

As part of the initiative, I contributed with two small lectures on “Ethics the Geospatial Domain and Sustainability”, plus an interview in which I summarise the key takeaways concerning our common epistemological assumptions underlying geospatial technologies and their use. To recognise these assumptions is key for fostering fair(er) initiatives based on geospatial information and technologies and systemically address SDGs.

Enjoy!

Kudos to Fran Meissner and Brad Hillas or their great work and coordination!
